Installation - Plastic Bottle Collection

Monsters are on the loose in Savannah!  For Earth Day 2018, the revival society is teaming up with the Sustainability Coalition to construct a giant interactive sculpture from plastic water bottles.  We have unleashed an army of trashcan monsters throughout town as a fun and creative way for the public to donate their empty water bottles.  Current bottle drop off locations are at local businesses that inspire sustainable practices.  The more plastic bottles our monsters eat, the bigger our Earth Day sculpture will be!  Our bottle-eating monsters are placed at the following businesses: 13 Bricks, Bohemia South, Forsyth Metal works, City Storage on Indian St., and Sulfur Studios.

Although we have plenty of wonderful locations to gather the material for our Earth Day Sculpture, we still need help with labor, transportation and storage cost to build it.  The Sculpture will be a large bio-dome made of thousands of donated plastic bottles that surround the viewers as they enter into a kaleidoscopic immersion of refracted light. Patches of living plants will also be exploding out from their plastic barriers that surrounds visitors into a stunning ecosphere in which nature purges itself from toxic waste.  The lively excitement of the interior will be contrasted by a clean, glass-like, honeycomb exterior which entices visitors while not creating too much of an imposing presence from other events during the festival.

In our mission to educate the next generation we have been traveling to local schools in Savannah, GA to educate kids on waste-management. In this slideshow we went to Another Adventure Daycare and had the kids sketch out our next monster trash can design. Each kid submited a drawing and one will be chosen at random to be made and used at their school for collecting plastic bottles.

Please contact us if you would like a monster trash can at your facility or would like us to come pick up plastic bottles. Thank you!
